We’ve set aside a little time at the beginning of each round of panels to just sit and chat. It’s been a year since we were all last together. Here’s a chance to catch up and talk to some of our panellists in a more casual setting.

 

Web Series

Synopsis: Web Series are one of the most recent additions to the world of femslash. There has been an explosion in production with many new web series featuring lesbian characters and themes. This year we have, Caryn K. Hayes, the award winning writer, director, and producer of Breaking Point, Entangled with You and Clean Hands, joining us for a discussion of web series. We also have cast and crew from the fan series “Forever Destined”: Cha, the writer and producer, and Tara Cunningham who plays Myka. Fawzia Mirza the creator and star of “Kam Kardashian,” will be joining us as well. We’ll also have Florence Vinger the creator, actor, writer and director of “Lips,” and Laura Zak the writer and actor for “#Hashtag.” Nancylee Myatt of “Nikki and Nora” fame will be joining this year as well. We look forward to hearing about all the new and returning web series from this illustrious panel as well as talking about topics such as funding, fan initiated work and the state of fanfiction for web series.

Synopsis: We’re feeling experimental and with this year’s Con devoted almost entirely to the fandoms we know and love, let’s take a bit of time to do what we love most, create story. This panel is entirely a round robin writing exercise. The rules are simple. Story is in black text. Any comments are in colors, though please keep them to a minimum and related to what’s happening in the story. We’ll give a plot bunny and all fandoms are welcome. Come join in or just watch the fun as we spend one hour of intense writing to create Part 2/The Finale of “Mystery at the Con.”
