Joining In
Please use the information from the following sections. If you feel unable to create your own page, please email the details, including the your name and, if appropriate the name of the site, community, group or forum to the site administrator.
Formatting and editing help
The femslashday.com website is using MediaWiki.
If you are unfamiliar with editing wiki pages, there are some helpful hints on the following pages:
Creating a new account
The first step to add any content to the femslashday.com site is to create an account. You will not be able to edit any pages unless you are logged in with a valid user account.
Uploading images
If you have images you would like to upload, please email them along with your name or nickname to the femslashday website administrator
Adding a new page
It it NOT POSSIBLE to successfully create a page with a URL (e.g. http://www.femslashday.com/) as the page name. Please use the name (e.g. International Day of Femslash) of the site instead
To ensure your page is added to the correct section of the site, please ensure you use the details from the appropriate section below.
Please Note: In order that your new page gets added to the correct section, it is vital that you:
- Do not delete the line starting "Category" from the bottom of the new page
- Add [[ to the beginning of the line before saving the page
People
To add a page with as much or as little detail about yourself and your participation as you would like, put the name you would like to see on the Category:People page in the box below and then hit Create Page.
Websites
To add a page about your website, put the name of the site (NOT the URL) as you would like to see it on the Category:Websites page in the box below, then hit the Create Page button.
Please remember to add a link to your site in the page you create.
LJ Communities
To add a page about your community, put the name of your community (NOT a link to it) as you would like to see it on the Category:Lj_communities page in the box below, then hit the Create Page button.
Please remember to add a link to your community in the text of the page.
Yahoo groups
To add a page about your Yahoo group, put the name of your group (NOT a link to it) as you would like to see it on the Category:Yahoo_groups page in the box below, then hit the Create Page button.
Please remember to add a link to your group in the text of the page.
Forum
To add a page about your website, put the name of your forum (NOT the URL) as you would like to see on the Category:Websites page in the box below, then hit the Create Page button.
Please remember to add a link to your site in the text of the page.
Event
To add a page about your ficathon, challenge, or other special event in honor of International Day of Femslash, put the name of your event (NOT a link to it) as you would like to see it on the Category:Events page in the box below, then hit the Create Page button.
Please remember to add a link to your event in the text of the page.
